For all students there is a $50 non-refundable registration fee, plus a yearly $30 activity fee to cover field trip costs and other activities. Our school year follows the calendar of the Ball-Chatham school district. If the Ball-Chatham school district is closed for weather, we are closed as well.
Registration begins in January for the next school year. Student openings are filled by current families, parish families, and then opened to the general public. Registration information can be found on our preschool registration page. Students must be 3 by September 1 of the year they will begin attending classes to join the 3-year-old program, and 4 by September 1 of the year they will begin attending classes to join the 4/5-year-old program. No exceptions will be made. Please call the parish office at (217) 483-3772 with any questions.
Our full 4/5-year-old class can have 20 students, with one teacher and two aides in the classroom. The 3-year-old class, when full, will have 18 students, with one teacher and two aides. When registration for each class fills, potential students will be placed on a wait list and notified should a position in the class open.
Mrs. Andrea Conlon is St. Joseph the Worker Preschool’s teacher. She is a longtime member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and is a proud mother of three of the preschool’s graduates. Mrs. Conlon provides fun, faith-based enriching activities to all of our students. She is assisted by her aides, parish members Mrs. Judy Gartland and Mrs. Melody Clark.
