A Lent to Remember

Welcome to our Parish Lenten Website

Every year, we journey into the wilderness of Lent.  How we approach this season of Lent with all of amazing, mysterious traditions and experiences is a question best answered this year by the word “together.”  How do we as a parish community make Lent relevant during this year of COVID pandemic—“together”.  It is harder and harder to connect the liturgy with so many people joining us from home — away from shared worship experiences that express our faith — away from the pathway of knowledge that passes onto our children the knowing of being in relationship with the ever present, ever blessing, ever forgiving, ever loving God. But we will return “together” and stronger.

Here at St Joseph the Worker, we are a vibrant and active community of disciples.  You are invited to all the amazing and mysterious traditions and experiences that Lent 2021 has to offer. You are invited to turn back to God — who created you, who loves you beyond your imagination. You are invited to proclaim that Jesus is the way to life and to give your heart to him. And you are invited to do this with us “together.” Check out the website, sign-up for Mass, enroll in a Bible Study.

As God’s immense gift of love dawns on you in new ways, offer a welcome; offer an embrace. And again, welcome to you from St. Joseph the Worker this Lent.

Blessings,

Fr. John Nolan

Pastor
