November 19

Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker:

Guess what time it is?  It is THANKSGIVING TIME!  Let us reflect on this special holiday in our country.

is for the TIME that God gives us to worship Him.

H  is for the HELP that we can give one another at SJW.

is for the AWESOMENESS of Jesus Christ.

is for how the Lord NEVER lets us down.

is for how KIND we are called to be to each other.

is for how lucky we are to have Jesus as our SAVIOR.

G  is for the GIVING that Stewardship calls us to.

I    is for the ILLUMINATION our Catholic faith shows us in how to live.

V   is for how we are to be VERY thankful with every breath.

I    is for the IMMEASURABLE ways our Catholic faith nurtures our lives.

N  is for the NEVER-ENDING support we should give to our family.

G  is for the GLORY that God deserves from us each moment of every day.

I thank you for all you do for our parish.  I am grateful for your support, prayers, service, stewardship, and everything else.  May this Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, be one of appreciation that flows from our hearts.

And please join in giving that glory to God by gathering at the Eucharist that day at 8:30 a.m.  The Eucharist is our Ritual of Thanksgiving.  The Lord deserves at least that much from us - 30 minutes to pray and praise, as well as receiving Jesus in Word and Sacrament.

Happy Day of Thanksgiving to you and your families!

Your Grateful Pastor, Father Joe
