Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker:

This Monday, February 14th, is Valentine’s Day.  This is a day of love, joy, happiness, and sharing.  This is a special time to recommit ourselves to being people of love, something the world desperately needs more of daily.  Let us reflect on February 14th:

V       Value each day given to you by God.

A       Accept whatever comes your way with praise.

L       Leave your cares at the feet of the Lord.

E       Empower others to be the best they can be.

N       Never underestimate yourself.

T       Thank Jesus for the gift of life.

I         Instill hope into every day and action.

N       Nurture the faith planted in your soul.

E       Emulate the love of the Saints.

S       Search for ways to be more loving and lovable

D       Deepen your prayer life.

A       Always be as positive as you can be.

Y       You can change the world.

Your Pastor,

Father Joe

P.S.  This Sunday, Feb. 13th, is Worldwide Marriage Day.  What a wonderful time to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage for all couples, whether married 2 weeks or 70 years.  The love that a wife and husband share is a reflection of Christ’s love for His Church.  May we pray for all married couples, engaged couples, and those preparing to be married.  We ask the Lord to bless these couples with faith, love, patience, mercy, compassion, and forgiveness.  Thank you, all married people, for your witness of unity and care for each other and your families.
