Parishioners of SJW:

We are heading to the end of our liturgical year this week.  This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Christ the King, which is the culmination of our Church year.  The Lord Jesus is crowned King of heaven and earth.  Let us always be obedient to, and a servant of, our King who lives and reigns forever and ever.  AMEN.

This Thursday we celebrate Thanksgiving.  What a wonderful holiday for our country, a time to give thanks to Almighty God for all the blessings we have been given.  And that is at the heart of being good stewards---to be thankful each day for the countless blessings we have, and to see that all comes from the Lord Himself.

So, let us reflect on this Thursday’s special meaning:

T       for the TIMES we have with the Lord in silent and private prayer.

H       for the HEALING that has come our way from Jesus.

A       for our God ALWAYS forgiving us.

N       for NEVER being worthless in the eyes of our Savior.

K       for the KINDNESS God shows us despite our sinfulness.

S       for Jesus SMILING down upon us each day.

G       for Jesus GIVING His life for our very own                                              .

I        for the INCREDIBLE ways our faith gives us life.

V       for the VICTORY of the Cross over sin and death.

I        for the IMMENSE love of Jesus for all creation.

N       for our Lord being NEAR to us when we call upon Him.

G       for our GOOD & GENEROUS Lord of Heaven and Earth.

Happy Thanksgiving Day and every day!!

Your grateful pastor for your presence in my life

Father Joe
