Parishioners of SJW:

Are you still enjoying the ALLELUIAS of Easter?  We have celebrated the most important celebration of the year---the Resurrection of the Lord!  And this past week has been the Octave of Easter, those special eight days of continuing to rejoice in the miracle that God gave the world.  The miracle of the Empty Tomb.  ALLELUIA!

So, what does this 2nd Week of Easter hold for you?  For any of us?  Is the Easter spirit still alive and well in our hearts and souls?  The Risen Lord sure hopes so.

The Resurrected Lord made the world a different place forever.  The Resurrected Lord gave hope where there wasn’t any.  Where the fallen world needed saving and salvation, He was there.  Now isn’t that something to celebrate each day, whether it be in the Easter season or during the summer or as the leaves fall around Thanksgiving?  Easter is timeless.  Easter knows no bounds.  Easter, and the joy it brought and continues to bring, should move each of us to a deeper faith.

And how will we live this 2nd Week of Easter?  Will Jesus Christ be seen through our actions?  Will He be heard in our words to one another?

Let us know that the Resurrected Lord will be shining His love down upon us each Easter day and beyond!

Your Pastor,

Father Joe
