Browsing Fr. Joe the Worker

December 22

Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Parish:

We are only several days away from the season of Christmas, that special time in our Church when we celebrate that God became Flesh in our world.  Just think of that!  Our invisible God became one of us.  How incredible that is.  And how fortunate for us to be able to see our Creator as one of us.  The world has never been the same since that beautiful Christmas morn.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to enflesh the peace of the stable.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to put into practice the love of the Holy Family.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to celebrate the hope of the Savior born at Bethlehem.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to accept the challenge of sharing the joy of the manger.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to praise God as did the angels.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to seek Jesus as the shepherds did.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to offer ourselves to the Lord as the Magi offered gifts.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to wrap ourselves in the glory of Christmas as Jesus was wrapped in swaddling clothes.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to reflect in our hearts on the Christmas event, as Mary did.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to give thanks for Jesus, the Word made Flesh.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to embrace the silence of that night in Bethlehem.

This Christmas, 2024, calls us to share the peace of the Nativity scene.

I wish you and your families a most blessed Christmas day and season.  Be assured of my special prayers during Mass on Christmas at 9:00 a.m.  You will be with me on the altar.

Please know of my gratitude for all you do for SJW parish throughout the year, and for your support and prayers.  It is my privilege and honor to be your pastor.  May this most glorious season lead us closer to the Savior born at Bethlehem, and closer to the Blessed Virgin and our patron saint, Joseph.

Your Christmas-Celebrating Cleric, Father Joe
