Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker:
The MIRACLE has occurred!! Jesus Christ is Risen!! Who would ever have thought this? Didn’t Good Friday look hopeless? But NEVER count God out on anything. NEVER underestimate His power.
We gather this weekend to celebrate the greatest occurrence in history—that Jesus, dead on the Cross on a Friday, was risen on Sunday. God raised up His Son forever. ALLELUIA!
We enter our 50 days of Easter. This next journey is one of celebration, faith, hope, and joy. The death of the Cross gives way to the life and promise of the empty tomb. Again, ALLELUIA!
As pastor at SJW, I want to wish you and your loved ones a joy-filled Easter and Easter season. May these next days enliven our hearts and souls with gratitude for being those disciples of the Risen One. May we now journey with hearts filled with hope, that nothing is able to dampen our faith and our resilience to be dedicated followers of Jesus Christ.
Please know of my prayers for each of you. Thank you so much for making our faith community so vibrant, holy, and loving. Let us all be grateful for the many, many ways Jesus, the One who rose for our eternal life, is shown to us through other parishioners.
I thank all those who made our Holy Week, Triduum, and Easter so meaningful and prayerful. To all our volunteer liturgical ministers, ministers of décor, ministers of music, and all others who in any way enabled this most special week in our liturgical year to be one of grace—GRACIAS!
Easter is about love, hope, joy, peace, and promise. May we take one of those words and live it out for the next 50 days and beyond. Hopefully, through us being those Easter people in 2025, our witness to the Risen Christ will be timeless for all ages.
Your “ALLELUIA” pastor, Father Joe
