Dear Parishioners of SJW:

Happy New Year!  Yes, Happy New Year!  This weekend we begin another new liturgical year in the Catholic Church.  How fortunate we are as Catholics to recall, be enriched by, celebrate the Lord throughout the next 12 months.  And we begin with Advent, those weeks before Christmas in which we prepare ourselves for the Coming of Jesus Christ into our world.  We await the celebration once again of the Incarnation, God becoming Man.  May we immerse ourselves into this season of expectation and hope.

A    Await—How will we wait for the 2^nd Coming of our Lord?

D    Duration—Will we be prayerful during all of Advent?

V    Voice—Will we raise our voices in song at Mass?

E    Every—Will we use every means to grow in faith?

N    Nothing—Will nothing stop us from waiting in hope?

T    True—Will we be true to being the Lord’s disciples?
