Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation program begins in the fall of each year at St. Joseph the Worker. It is for adults continuing their journey in the Catholic faith, seeking reception into the Church and the sacrament of Confirmation, as well as those who have never been baptized. No matter where you are on your faith journey, RCIA will guide you with weekly sessions that contain testimonies and lessons on the Catholic faith.

Sessions meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. Please contact the parish office at (217) 483-3772 if you are interested in learning more about the RCIA program and joining the Catholic Church.

** Introductory Session:  Tuesday night September 27 at 6:30pm in the All Purpose Room. **

Previous RCIA candidates will discuss the program and answer questions.  Wine and cheese will be served. If you know a non-Catholic or baptized non-participating Catholic, invite them to inquire about Christian Initiation of Adults. The RCIA process is certainly educational regarding our Catholic faith. It is an opportunity for a faith journey that deepens relationships with Jesus Christ and our community. Please call Fr. John at 483-3772 or Mike and Vickie Armstrong at 546-8861.
