September Week 3 Faith Formation
Welcome to our final week of September and learning about the Bible and importance of incorporating prayer into our daily lives. In addition to the links sent last week, please take a look at these through the upcoming week as well and share with your families during your scheduled Family Faith Formation time…fun activities included in all three, if you’re needing some more ideas.
Memorized Prayers: Prayers to know by Heart
This link includes a short video of “Why Memorize Prayer,” “My Prayers to know” and how to learn them in fun ways, “My Prayers to Know Cards” to print off if you’d like, and a Prayer chart to keep track of which prayers your child knows and learns along the way.
Bible Basics Learning Stations
Access this link for information on How to find things in the Bible, Bible timeline, How Catholics understand the Bible, the Bible at Mass, and a Bible learning stations fill in sheet for your kids.
Activities that Support Catholic Scripture Study in Families
Great resources here to use in conjunction with your Bible learning: Bible basics/searching skills, New Testament Map, Ten Commandments Took Kit, This Weeks Liturgy (fabulous to use every week – activities that go along with the weekly readings), Mercy Scripture Quest Activity and Mary Scripture Quest Activity, and Storytelling tools for parents.
Hopefully your family faith scrapbook has at least one picture and a title at the beginning of it, so that it is ready to go for October. Beginning in October, we will have a monthly raffle for families to participate in. All you have to do is share a picture of your Scrapbook on our Facebook Family page and your family’s name will go into a drawing for a variety of prizes each month. Watch for more info on that in the October Parent Video and email that will be out on October 4th.
Here are the Children’s Worship puzzle sheets that go along with our readings for the week.
Birthday Blessings to our September Birthdays!
Please touch base with any needs…or if you have any questions at all, we are here to help!
Have a Terrific Week!
