February Week 2 Faith Formation
Like I mentioned last week…February is full of opportunities for families to enjoy time together as you learn about the saints, celebrate Valentine's Day, and get ready for Lent. Please do not be overwhelmed by all of the possibilities that are being passed along, just pick and choose whatever might work for your family.

Ark of Hope Service Project
The story of Noah’s Ark is one of hope and promise. God compelled Noah to gather and protect the Earth’s vulnerable creatures during the great flood. God offers this protection to us as well, as we endure great storms. Catholic Relief Services works with organizations around the world to help poor and vulnerable people overcome emergencies, build a sustainable future through agriculture and access vital health services. The CRS Ark of Hope program offers a meaningful way for our community to join them in their work and to help fight global poverty one animal at a time...or two by two. Our Faith Formation program will be collecting donations throughout the Lenten season. Cowpoke Pete and Cowgirl Cora will be in the gathering space to collect your donations. You can also drop off donations in the parish office, M-F; 8:30am-4:00pm, or mail them in to the office (just please be sure to indicate what the money is for). No gift is too big or too small. Want to know more about the items within the Ark? Go online HERE and read all about the good work that they do.
Our Curriculum Exchange offers free lessons created and shared by teachers for teachers. Here are some ways to prepare for Lent.

Did you know that there is a tradition of enjoying sweets and other rich foods on Shrove Tuesday before Ash Wednesday as a way to prepare in the home for Lent? Learn more about Mardi Gras and how to make a "King Cake" (click here)

Level 2 Restored Order Prep to Begin in March
Preparation for Restored Order (Class of 2021) will begin for our next group of kiddos in March. If your 2nd grade child is signed up for FF this year, they are automatically on the list. If you have a 3rd grade child or above, who has not received Confirmation or First Communion, please let me know if you would like them added to this group, in order to ensure correspondence from Cindy Essex in the future. PICK UP day for a few items needed for preparation is scheduled for Sunday, February 21st from 11:45am-12:30 pm. Please pull up to the main doors by the office and a church representative will deliver your items to your car. If you are unable to make it on this day, please reach out to me so that we can schedule an alternate time.
