Welcome to the online home of St. Joseph the Worker!
St. Joe's is producing a NEW pictorial directory. We need YOU to make it complete! We are partnering with Lifetouch for this project. They are providing the directory at no cost to our church. Every family photographed received a complementary directory and a 8x10 portrait. You can sign up for a session HERE. Dates for appointment are between 9/27/16 and October 15, 2016. Please stop at the office for a bag with coupons from Lifetouch.
For your convenience, all photography and portrait viewing will take place at our church with NO sitting fee. You will have a variety of poses taken. One pose will be selected for the directory. In addition to your complimentary 8x10, you will have the opportunity to purchase additional portraits on the day of your portrait session.
Hosts needed: We need help during the photo sessions to keep the process organized and running smoothly. Hosts would be checking people in and answering questions. Please sign up here.
RICA Introductory Session: Tuesday night September 27 at 6:30pm in the All Purpose Room.
Previous RCIA candidates will discuss the program and answer questions. Wine and cheese will be served. If you know a non-Catholic or baptized non-participating Catholic, invite them to inquire about Christian Initiation of Adults. The RCIA process is certainly educational regarding our Catholic faith. It is an opportunity for a faith journey that deepens relationships with Jesus Christ and our community. Please call Fr. John at 483-3772 or Mike and Vickie Armstrong at 546-8861.

OWLS Day Trip
OWLS (Older, Wiser, Lovable Seniors) has a day trip planned for Friday, October 7. The bus will leave St. Joseph the Worker parking lot at 9:30am and head to Hidden Lake Winery in Aviston, where we will have lunch, assorted beverages, and relaxation. The Winery is in a beautiful setting and there is a walking path around the lake. At 2:00pm we will head to Bob Eversgerd’s Fort in Germantown. He has built the whole thing and it is incredible to see. After a couple hour tour of the Fort, we will head to Knotty Pine Inn (known for their good food and pies) in Breese for supper or a snack before the drive back. Estimated return time is 8-8:30pm. The cost is $36.00 per person for the charter bus/driver and a donation to the Fort. Meals and drinks will be the responsibility of each person. We are limited to 30 people due to the size of the bus. Reservations and money need to be in by September 18. Checks to St. Joseph’s - OWLS and reservations to Sr. Judy, parish office, 483-3772.
