The Adult Christian Initiation program is a journey of the spirit. This journey is time set aside for those interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith and way of life. This journey takes place in parishes all across the country. People coming together to discuss and discover what the Catholic Faith is all about. The learning sessions vary from parish to parish but have the same basic characteristics.
Here at St. Joseph's we:
- Come together on a weekly basis
- Present a different topic every week given by a member of the parish
- Have time after the speaker for questions and discussion
- Provide refreshments for the body as well as for the spirit with music and prayer
The Initiation of Adults into the full communion of our faith is a community effort at St. Joseph's. Our team consists of planners, presenters, musicians, refreshment providers and sponsors. These members of the parish work very hard to provide an atmosphere of welcome to those interested in deepening their relationship with God.
This journey is for anyone looking for a way to bring peace and joy into their lives. Coming to know God on a personal basis and having Him as part of everyday life is a way to make this happen.
If you are interested in sharing your beliefs and questions about God, perhaps you would like to find out more about this program. Whether the Catholic Faith is totally new to you or whether you have had Catholic ties sometime in your life, you would be most welcome among us.
Our community at St. Joseph's has something very special to offer, and we would like to share it with you. As a newcomer or a long-time Catholic searching for answers, you are welcome. There, together with others who are searching for a faith life, you will be supported and welcomed.
Our Adult Christian Initiation program begins in September with weekly sessions ending shortly after the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in becoming a candidate or sponsor, please call the Parish Office.
