Funeral Luncheon
Parish members furnish and serve a prearranged meal for families following funeral services upon request. Parishioners are invited to provide food items, serve, and clean up after the meal. Volunteers are called for periodic help.
Ministry of CareThe ministers of care support the needs of the sick, confined and elderly. We seek to connect these people with our parish community by reaching out to them with compassion. Communion is brought to these people at home. Training is provided for ministers on a monthly basis for four months, and then ministers meet every other month for updating and spiritual growth. Please notify the ministry contact when a family member is in need of Communion at home on either a temporary or a permanent basis.
Ministry of Consolation (Bereavement)
Ministers of Consolation are committed to offering compassionate care and support to all who have experienced the death of a loved one. Training is provided on a monthly basis over the first year, and then ministers meet periodically for updating, workshops and spiritual growth. The ministry provides support before, during, and after the funeral services. Remembrance services, card and phone ministry, and a library of materials are provided.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
This ministry makes Prayer Shawls for those needing comfort. We meet once a month to pray, share information, drop off completed shawls, and pick up new yarn. Anyone who enjoys knitting or crocheting is welcome to participate. Attendance at meetings is not required. Participants simply provide time and talent, and the ministry supplies the yarn.
T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More)
T.E.A.M. provides an opportunity for parishioners to serve the parish community and others through fund-raising activities. These activities encourage parishioners to meet and socialize with each other and promote a community spirit within the parish. T.E.A.M. meets monthly, generally on the third Sunday at 9:00 a.m. or as announced in the church bulletin. All parish members 16 years old and older are members of T.E.A.M. and encouraged to participate in meetings. Click here for more information.
Transportation
Individuals are needed who are willing to drive parishioners to mass, to doctor appointments, or to other medical treatments when they are unable to drive themselves. When parishioners notify the office, someone in the office will call volunteers to schedule. Time commitment will depend on the need.
Welcome Ministry
This ministry focuses on developing ways to make all newcomers to the parish feel and know that they have joined a welcoming faith community. The ministry produces a packet containing information about parish ministries and activities that is given to all newly registered members. Additional activities are in the initial stages. The ministry encourages interested individuals to join with us in planning & implementing ways to welcome everyone to St. Joseph parish. Commitment is to attend monthly meetings and lend a hand with activities.
